MukundaIndividual Sessions with Mukunda

Mukunda offers three different forms of individual sessions.

Structural Yoga Therapy with Mukunda

The most common place to begin is Structural Yoga Therapy to address body issues of injuries, stress and to personalize your yoga practices. For those unable to set appointments at his programs or home in Western Massachusetts, consult the list of graduates of the SYT Course who may be in your area for personalized guidance under his supervision.

Mukunda’s first 90-minute session includes an appraisal of your posture, strength, and flexibility, assessing the unique way your body has adapted to Life. Once your assessment is completed a personalized yoga routine will be created in this initial session.

Yoga practice can dramatically change us, improving health and well-being. Yet, every body is unique. You may still be struggling with stress or residual pain from past injuries from which you have never fully recovered. Illness, pain and chronic stress always impact your posture and can cause structural imbalances. In addition, you may have postural imbalance like spinal curvatures, scoliosis, knock knees, or other patterns in your body creating inefficient patterns where weakness and stress may accumulate. Structural Yoga Therapy can dramatically correct your posture, changes of 50% in cases of scoliosis have been achieved, and your nagging aches and back pain can be eliminated.

Sessions are offered at his workshops, at his home/studio in Holyoke, (western) Massachusetts and via phone or email for those unable to meet in person.  For those seeking more frequent guidance consider

Spiritual Mentoring and Guidance

Mukunda also offers his skill as a Spiritual Mentor for development of your pranic energy training and to personalize your spiritual practice. Interested students can search his archival website on Spirit’s Path located at www.yogaforums.com or read of his methods in Your Soul’s Compass – What is Spiritual Guidance? By Joan Borysenko and Gordon Dveirin. For website also has a list of recommended readings and links to spiritual teachers he recommends.  Those seeking ongoing spiritual practices are encouraged to request the Tantra Lessons that can heighten your sensitivity to your energy and evolve it to assist you on your spiritual path. His clients have included long term members of most yoga based spiritual paths, as well as members of Jewish, Christian, Moslem, Native American, shamanic and lesser known faiths.

Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy

A third format is based on Mukunda’s new book Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy covering principles that may involve lifestyle changes to deepen the energetic and spiritual benefits of Yoga. This book details his method of adapting to the energetic and Ayurvedic conditions of each individual. This method can assist students to discover the underlying 3 unique forms of Ayurvedic Yoga and meditation practice that create a serene sattvic state of consciousness. This process often resolves both physical and energetic conflicts that are not resolved by physical or medical therapies.

Client Feedback

"Mukunda is the finest Yoga therapist that I've ever worked with. Now the wealth of wisdom and experience that he brought to teaching me, my staff (at Mind Body Medical Institute, Deaconess Hospital, Boston) and our clients is available to you."

Joan Borysenko, Ph.D., author of Minding the Body, Mending the Mind and A Woman's Journey to God

"Mukunda has a fine intuitive insight and functional understanding for evaluating body imbalances and a very practical, effective yogic approach to permanently correct these imbalances. His approach worked well for me personally and I highly recommend him to my clients."

Gabriel Cousens, MD Psychiatry, author of Spiritual Nutrition and Conscious Eating

"Mukunda is a consummate healer, working with body and soul. Held in the sacred container created by his knowledge, skill and deep compassion I found I was able to drop into that rare and healing combination of spontaneous movement and profound stillness. Mukunda's open heart and radiant spirit are evident in the gifts he offers to the world."
